Position

: Business Analyst (Retail)

Purpose of the Position:

To drive data-driven decision-making and strategic initiatives within the retail domain by analyzing business processes, identifying improvement opportunities, and delivering actionable insights that enhance customer experience, operational efficiency, and profitability.

Key Result Areas and Activities:

Retail Process Analysis & Optimization - Evaluate and improve retail workflows including inventory, sales, and customer service.





Stakeholder Engagement - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure alignment with business goals.





Data Analysis & Reporting - Develop dashboards and reports to monitor KPIs and support strategic decisions.





Solution Design & Implementation - Translate business needs into functional specifications and support implementation of retail solutions.





Market & Competitor Analysis - Conduct research to identify trends, customer preferences, and competitive benchmarks.

Work and Technical Experience

Must Have Skills

Strong understanding of retail operations and customer lifecycle Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, Power BI/Tableau) Experience in business process modelling and documentation Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Requirement gathering and gap analysis expertise Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements

Good To Have Skill

Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP Retail, Oracle Retail) Experience with CRM platforms and loyalty programs Exposure to e-commerce and omnichannel retail strategies Basic understanding of AI/ML applications in retail Certification in Business Analysis (CBAP, PMI-PBA)

Qualification:

Experience

: 6-8 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 3 years in the retail domain

Education

: Bachelor's degree in business administration, Information Systems, or related field; MBA preferred
