Role Description

The Elemica business analyst supports professional services team in soliciting and capturing requirements from end-users for industry leading transportation execution and shipping solution, perform functional and technical gap analysis with respect to Elemica's product suite, analyze data requirements, analyze risks, ensure project profitability, and conduct user acceptance testing. The business analyst must be highly analytical and be hands-on and detail oriented. He/she should have a high degree of intellectual curiosity and feel compelled to find creative solutions to difficult problems. Responsibilities

Assess the customer's business and technical transportation execution and shipment execution requirements and their trading partner's logistics capabilities and confirm their compatibility with Elemica supported standards. Gather and clarify requirements for implementation of Elemica's transportation execution suite. Analyze the customer data and message formats to gather integration requirements to be implemented for Elemica's products. Develop and enhance expertise in Elemica products and function within the company as a resource for product knowledge. Support project manager to maintain healthy project margin. Identify any change order, change requests, or scope creep, and effectively partner in getting these approved by the customer. Perform user acceptance testing to ensure Elemica solution is meeting customer's business requirements and communicate testing results to client and Elemica management. Provide documentation describing custom built functionality and interaction with standard Elemica product suite.

Experience and Skills Required

2+years of experience as business analyst in supply chain including warehouse and transportation management. Strong analytical skills. Experience in analysing data models and gathering data requirements. Experience working with test and development teams, designing business testcases and understanding the results and impact in the processes. Good knowledge and understanding with complete SDLC in an enterprise software environment. Experience in utilizing RESTful APIs. Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing to individuals of all levels, including customers. Clear oral and written communication. Good listener. Must be able to thrive in a high-paced dynamic environment. Must have a high attention to detail. Proficient with MS Office and JIRA usage.

Good to have skills:

Functional knowledge of ERP, Experience with the messaging formats and standards used in Logistics and B2B ecommerce: EDI (ANSI X12), EDIFACT, XML, VDA, SAP iDOCs, ChemXML, xCBL, OAG, Flatfiles, etc. with particular emphasis on experience with iDOCs, ChemXML, X12 and EDIFACT.

Education and Certification

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field of study and 2-3 years hands-on experience. * MBA preferred.
