We are seeking a highly analytical and industry-aware
Business Analyst with a background in Plastic Engineering
to support product innovation, market analysis, and operational efficiency. This role bridges technical expertise in plastics with strategic business decision-making, enabling data-driven solutions across manufacturing, R&D, and customer-facing teams.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct
market research
and
competitive analysis
in the plastics and polymer industry.
Analyze
trends in raw materials, technologies, and product development
(e.g., injection molding, extrusion, thermoforming).
Collaborate with R&D, production, and sales teams to align business goals with
technical capabilities
.
Identify and assess new business opportunities in plastic product development or sustainable materials.
Prepare
business cases, ROI models, and feasibility studies
for new products or process improvements.
Evaluate supplier and customer data to enhance supply chain and operational efficiencies.
Track
industry regulations, standards (e.g., ISO, ASTM)
, and sustainability trends impacting the plastics sector.
Generate reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior management.
Support pricing strategies based on
cost modeling and market demand
.
Assist in
project management
and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs).
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Plastic Engineering / Polymer Technology / Mechanical Engineering
with plastics specialization.
2-5 years of experience
in business analysis, product management, or a technical-commercial role in the plastics industry.
Strong understanding of plastic materials (e.g., PP, PE, PET, PVC), processing methods, and industry applications.
Proficient in
data analysis tools
(Excel, Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
Strong knowledge of
business frameworks
(SWOT, PESTLE, Porter's Five Forces).
Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Knowledge of sustainability, recycling, or biodegradable plastics is a plus.
