Project Role Business Analyst - Aladdin Platform & Asset Management ________________________________________ Project Role Description As a Business Analyst, you will bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams, owning requirements gathering, process design, data mapping, and delivery for Aladdin implementations and asset management workflows. You'll support planning and deploying Aladdin modules, especially in portfolio, risk, and post-trade operations--for clients in asset management and insurance. ________________________________________ Must to have skills o Experience in business analysis or product/business analyst role for Aladdin Platform or similar investment management systems o Domain knowledge in asset management: portfolios, risk, compliance, trade/order workflows across equities, fixed income, derivatives o Solid proficiency in data analysis and mapping, SQL, Excel/Visio, with familiarity in relational/dimension modelling and tools like Power BI o Strong stakeholder collaboration & communication skills, interpreting complex financial mandates and articulating technical/business requirements clearly o Working familiarity with Agile/Scrum frameworks, user story documentation, Jira/ADO, and coordination across SDLC. ________________________________________ Good to have skills o Hands-on exposure to Aladdin modules like Portfolio, Risk, Compliance, Trading, Operations, or Studio/API capabilities. o Experience drafting functional requirement docs / UAT plans, user training materials, release notes, and participating in ABAP deployment/testing UAT cycles. o Technical scripting exposure (Python, Unix/VBA, SQL) to support data extraction, automation, or rule configuration within Aladdin systems o Exposure to post trade operations functions: settlements, confirmations, reconciliations, margin/collateral workflows. o Domain knowledge in insurance data (policies, claims) or compliance workflows as they integrate with asset management and investment lifecycle ________________________________________ Summary: You will serve as a functional expert in Aladdin-based asset management projects, translating asset management and insurance business requirements into technical Aladdin configurations, risk rules, and data flows. In addition, you'll support testing, validation, UAT/trainings, and ensure smooth Aladdin deployments. ________________________________________ Roles & Responsibilities: o Conduct stakeholder workshops to gather, validate and document business and functional requirements, especially in Aladdin modules and asset management context o Translate compliance mandates and investment policies into rule logic and configuration documentation within Aladdin. o Produce artifacts: BRDs, FRDs, user stories, wireframes, UAT test cases, release notes, and training materials. o Coordinate with product, development, and testing teams in Agile ceremonies (grooming, planning, retrospectives) to ensure requirements alignment. o Support UAT, user training, stakeholder feedback, and iterative enhancements after deployment o Analyze data feeds and manage data mapping between Aladdin and upstream/downstream asset management or post-trade systems o Act as a liaison between business owners (e.g. portfolio/risk teams or insurer operations) and technical implementation teams ________________________________________ Professional & Technical Skills: o Analytical & Communication: Requirement elicitation, workshop facilitation, process modeling, stakeholder alignment o Technical: SQL, Excel, Visio, Power BI, scripting (Python/VBA/Unix), knowledge of FIX/FpML/SWIFT messaging (post trade). o Agile Methodologies: Experience with Jira/ADO, user story writing, sprint ceremonies, backlog management o Domain: Asset management lifecycle, Aladdin platform capabilities (risk, compliance, execution, operations), insurance-related data workflows o Documentation & Testing: BRDs, UAT planning, release notes, user trainings ________________________________________ Additional Information: o Location: Bangalore (on-site or hybrid) o Experience Level: 4-7 years in business analysis or functional roles, with some exposure to financial services or FinTech o Education: Bachelor's/master's in finance, Engineering, Economics, Computer Science or equivalent; certifications like Scrum Master, product ownership, or CFA advantageous o Travel: Occasionally it may require client or stakeholder visits (domestic/international) o Benefits & Culture: Collaborative Agile environment; opportunity to engage cross-functionally with global teams and domain experts.
