The United AMS Business Analyst role requires a highly flexible and adaptable analyst with the ability to manage periods of stress and/or heavy workloads. Solid experience as a Business Analyst or similar role is needed, along with demonstrated experience with healthcare claims or Medical /Drug/ reimbursement policies. The BA must have the ability to not only facilitate highly charged meetings but also negotiate and drive to effective solutions, while independently producing detailed business requirements and other required supporting materials. Candidates must possess solid analysis and critical thinking skills as well as the ability to find out of the box solutions. This position requires persuasive communication skills with ability to liaison between technical and non-technical personnel. The ability to adeptly navigate ever changing priorities is also a key skill of the ICH BA. Additionally, the role requires each BA to become a Policy/Edit Subject Matter Expert and supply end user training on the functionalized policies. BA additionally performs data maintenance, loading, QA and auditing of all updates. The BA primarily works independently; however it is also expected to work collaboratively across teams and the organization to support our client's needs and meet their affordability goals.
Primary Responsibilities:

  • Define and document business processes and projects
  • Consult with business departments to identify requirements
  • Present and evaluate solutions objectively and facilitate conflict resolution
  • Define project scope and objectives
  • Model business processes (current and future)
  • Evaluate system changes for downstream system and/or organizational impacts
  • Prioritize and track all defects/issues to resolution
  • Escalate defects/issues to the Manager as appropriate
  • Provide agendas and follow up with meeting minutes
  • Work with the business to identify minimum performance expectations and service levels
  • Build and maintain working relationships with all stakeholders and varying levels of the organization
  • Validate that all functions perform according to the relevant specifications
  • Acquire and maintain working knowledge of multiple platform specific knowledge, customer customizations, databases, file systems and architecture that support the application
  • Facilitate and or assist with group meetings via teams and telephonically
  • Manage small to large projects from submission n through implementation
  • Manage and Maintain inventory tracking tools
  • Project Management of all projects / changes, defects
  • Ability to perform accurate and efficient Data Maintenance on large volumes of system edits from request receipt to implementation to production (Analyze, validate, load/QA/audit of data via tools or excel comparisons)
  • Develop strategic and out of the box solutions
  • Manage organizational changes
  • Comply with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and agile Methodologies
  • Provide required problems and status and time reporting
  • Conduct User Acceptance Testing

Eligibility

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in any discipline
  • 6+ years of experience as an associate business analyst or systems analyst OR 5+ years in an iCES/ CES QA or software development role
  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare industry
  • 5+ years of experience gathering/ writing business requirements, Data Maintenance, Data Scrubbing/File Compares/Analytics
  • Advanced Skills with Teams, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Access, SharePoint, iCES & CES
  • Proven solid analytic, technical and problem-solving skills, critical thinking
  • Proven excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage high volumes of work including execute complex file compares, data analytics, high volumes of work, manage high stress periods of work
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CPC, IIBA etc.
  • 6+ years of experience with healthcare reimbursement (Reimbursement/Medical/Pharmacy Policy)
  • Coding experience or certified coder
  • Experience with iCES, CES, Content Manager, Cosmos, Adjudipro, TOPS/UNET, Service Now, SharePoint, KL, PCFM, M&R, Facets, SQL and DSNP experience
