Inviting applications for the role of Business Analyst/Assistant Manager - Fraud Investigation
The Fraud Alerts Team Lead / Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of the fraud alerts team, ensuring timely and accurate investigation of potential fraudulent activity. This role involves mentoring analysts, improving fraud detection processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to mitigate risk. The ideal candidate has extensive hands-on experience in fraud monitoring, strong analytical skills, and a proven ability to lead and motivate a team of 10-12 fraud specialists.
Responsibilities
Supervise and mentor a team of fraud analysts handling daily fraud alerts.
Ensure accurate, consistent, and timely review of flagged transactions, accounts, activities, and supporting fraud documentation (including IDs and verification documents).
Review escalated cases and provide guidance to analysts for appropriate resolution.
Maintain and enforce the escalation matrix for potential fraud activity.
Collaborate with the client Fraud Team and onshore SMEs on insights, escalations, and team-related concerns to ensure effective fraud management.
Prepare and present regular reports on team performance, fraud trends, and operational metrics.
Stay updated on emerging fraud schemes, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements
Drive continuous improvement in fraud monitoring tools, workflows, and team performance.
Support new process transitions and client onboarding.
Participate in audits and implement corrective actions.
Collaborate with client stakeholders, onshore quality assurance (QA) team, and Learning Experience (LX teams) to improve process performance.
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience in fraud detection, risk management, or a related field.
Familiarity with fraud monitoring tools and transaction systems.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Demonstrated experience in leadership or supervisory role for small to midsized teams.
Knowledge of financial services, payment systems, or e-commerce fraud
Superior communication and collaboration skills with the ability to interact confidently with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
Advanced typing skills with high accuracy and speed
Proficient in the use of MS office tools
Adaptable to process changes and willing to continuously learn new systems and procedures
Demonstrate flexibility to work under 247 working environment
Leadership, coaching, and team building capabilities. Knowledge of coaching techniques, constructive feedback methods, and adult learning principles
Professional certification for CAMS, CFE, ICA, or equivalent is preferred
