Job Description

We are seeking a Business Analyst with strong analytical and SQL skills, along with hands-on experience in Web Analytics or E-Commerce Analytics field. As part of the Conferences Business Analytics team at Gartner, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business decisions through data-driven insights and reporting. This role focuses on analyzing marketing initiatives and monitoring key business KPIs to support conference performance across region.

What You'll Do:

Collaborate with various cross-functional teams to process, transform, and analyze data from multiple sources (e.g. Google Analytics, BigQuery, Salesforce, Eloqua, Internal databases). Define, track, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to website traffic, paid advertisement, leads, and conversion metrics. Identify, monitor, and troubleshoot data collection and tracking issues to ensure data integrity. Partner with the Power BI team to develop dashboards and visual reports that communicate insights effectively to business stakeholders. Translate complex datasets into actionable business insights and recommendations to improve business outcomes. Collaborate with business stakeholders to analyse and understand business processes, identify automation opportunities, and define clear and comprehensive requirements.

What You'll Need:

Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related field; MBA preferred. 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar analytical role. Strong SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, and analysis. Hands-on experience with Google Analytics, preferably BigQuery. Hands-on experience with any programming skills (Python, R, Java Script, C++, VBA etc.) is a plus Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and presentation. Experience working with large data models and generating actionable insights. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills with a data-driven approach. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present analytical findings clearly to non-technical audiences. High attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
