Job Summary:


We are looking for a Business Analyst with a strong testing background who can take ownership as a Functional Lead. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business stakeholders, development teams, and QA, ensuring functional accuracy, requirement clarity, and successful delivery of projects. Experience in government domain projects will be an added advantage.


Key Responsibilities:


Lead and own functional requirements across the project lifecycle.


Gather, analyze, and document business requirements (BRD, FRD, user stories, use cases).


Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications for development and testing teams.


Act as a functional SPOC for internal teams and external stakeholders.


Leverage testing experience to:


Define test scenarios, test cases, and acceptance criteria.


Support UAT planning, execution, and defect triaging.


Ensure requirement traceability from business needs to implementation and testing.


Review functional design documents and validate solutions against business expectations.


Participate in requirement walkthroughs, sprint planning, and release sign-offs.


Support change management and impact analysis for requirement changes.


Ensure compliance with government standards, processes, and documentation (where applicable).


Required Skills & Qualifications


4-6 years of overall experience with:


Testing (Manual / Functional Testing) background


Transition or experience in Business Analysis / Functional Lead role


Strong understanding of:


SDLC & STLC


Agile / Waterfall methodologies


Hands-on experience in:


Requirement gathering & documentation


Functional analysis and validation


UAT coordination


Excellent stakeholder communication and documentation skills.


Ability to lead functional discussions and guide teams.


Experience with tools like JIRA, Confluence, HP ALM, or similar.


Preferred / Added Advantage


Experience working on Government / Public Sector projects.


Knowledge of government processes, compliance, or large-scale citizen-facing systems.


Exposure to data-driven or workflow-based applications.
