This role involves strategic planning, operational efficiency, and collaboration with internal teams, external partners, and vendors to ensure seamless and cost-effective transportation operations.Responsibilities:Strategic Planning:Collaborate with inbound transportation carriers to schedule and coordinate the arrival of shipments at distribution centres.Execute Inbound to DCs and B2B shipments.Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand business requirements and ensure transportation strategies support organizational growth.Vendor Management:Manage KPI measurement for transportation service providers, carriers, and third-party logistics (3PL) partners.Monitor vendor performance, grievance redressal and fostering strong relationships.Operational Efficiency:Execute day-to-day transportation operations, ensuring on-time deliveries, order accuracy, and cost-effective transportation solutions along with Implement best practices and process improvements.Monitor and manage the performance of transportation carriers to meet operational targets.Identify & maintain the lane wise top 3 carriers based on cost and vendor scorecard. Analyse transportation networks & identify optimization opportunities.Work closely with logistics teams to plan and optimize inbound transportation routes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.Close monitoring on spend to ensure adherence to the budget.Good understanding of Accessorial charges and applicabilityTechnology:Working knowledge of Blue Yonder TMS.Performance Metrics and Reporting:Generate reports for senior leadership team, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.Working knowledge of Visualisation tool TableauQualifications we seek in you!Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
