Job Title: Bus Mechanic (TATA, BharatBenz, Eicher)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled

Bus Mechanic

to diagnose, repair, and maintain TATA, BharatBenz, and Eicher buses. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with diesel engines, electrical systems, suspension, transmission, and other bus components.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on TATA, BharatBenz, and Eicher buses. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues. Repair or replace faulty parts including engines, gearboxes, axles, clutches, and suspension systems. Conduct safety inspections and prepare vehicles for roadworthiness. Read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and diagnostic tools. Maintain service records and logs. Collaborate with the fleet manager or supervisor for scheduled maintenance plans. Use diagnostic software or tools for newer models with electronic control systems (ECUs).

Requirements:

ITI / Diploma in Automobile Engineering or relevant technical qualification. 2+ years of experience with TATA, BharatBenz, or Eicher commercial vehicles. Knowledge of diesel engine technology and bus mechanical systems. Ability to use diagnostic tools and read technical manuals. Physical fitness to lift heavy parts and work in workshop conditions. Basic understanding of vehicle electrical systems and air brakes. Ability to work independently or in a team environment.

Preferred Skills:

Certification in heavy vehicle maintenance or training from OEMs (TATA/BharatBenz/Eicher). Understanding of BS6/BS4 engine technology. Familiarity with CAN bus systems and ECU diagnostics.
