Key Responsibilities
Identify and develop new business opportunities with OEMs, tier-1 suppliers, and key accounts in the automobile and agriculture sectors.
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing and prospective clients through regular visits, presentations, and negotiations.
Conduct market research to analyze trends, competitor activities, and customer needs in forging for automotive (e.g., engine, transmission, suspension parts) and agricultural machinery.
Prepare and present technical/commercial proposals, quotations, and contracts tailored to client requirements.
Collaborate with internal teams (production, quality, engineering) to ensure timely delivery, quality compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Achieve and exceed the assigned monthly sales target of 150 tons by strategizing lead generation, pipeline management, and deal closure.
Forecast sales, track performance metrics, and report on market insights to senior management.
Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network and promote company products.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts while ensuring profitability and alignment with company goals.
Monitor payment collections and coordinate with finance for smooth order execution.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/Metallurgical preferred) or MBA in Marketing/Sales.
5-10 years of experience in business development/sales
, preferably in the
forging industry
or related manufacturing sectors (casting, machining, auto components).
Proven background in selling to the
automobile and/or agriculture sectors
is highly preferred.
Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets in B2B industrial sales, ideally with tonnage-based metrics.
Strong technical knowledge of forging processes (open die, closed die, hot/cold forging) and applications in automotive/agri components.
