The Buffer Grinding & Finishing Worker is responsible for surface grinding, buffing, and polishing of stainless steel components used in commercial kitchen equipment. The role ensures a smooth, hygienic, and visually appealing finish as per quality and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform grinding, buffing, and polishing on stainless steel kitchen equipment parts.
Remove weld marks, scratches, burrs, and surface defects from SS components.
Achieve required finishes such as matte, satin, hairline, or mirror finish.
Operate buffing machines, grinding tools, and polishing equipment safely.
Inspect finished parts to ensure smoothness, uniform finish, and quality standards.
Handle stainless steel materials carefully to avoid damage or contamination.
Follow safety guidelines and use PPE (gloves, goggles, masks) at all times.
Maintain cleanliness of work area and proper handling of tools and consumables.
Coordinate with welding and fabrication teams to meet production timelines.
Skills & Requirements:
Experience in buffer grinding and finishing of stainless steel products.
Knowledge of abrasives, buffing wheels, polishing compounds, and finishing techniques.
Ability to identify surface defects and correct them efficiently.
Physically fit to handle continuous grinding and polishing work.
Attention to detail and quality consciousness.
