An exciting opportunity to work in EY\xe2\x80\x99s Business Tax Advisory \xe2\x80\x93 CTORS team. You will support Ernst & Young\xe2\x80\x99s National Tax Department (NTD) which serves high-profile, national and multinational clients and is led by nationally recognized tax professionals who represent some of the firm\xe2\x80\x99s most senior tax talent. We provide a range of domestic and international transactional tax planning services and tax-related advisory services. The combination of knowledge and experience forms the basis for National Tax\'s ability to assist clients in determining and implementing appropriate tax planning.

The opportunity We currently have a career opportunity for a Senior professional in CTORS.

• Perform Project Control on Vendor Governance monitoring program role to monitor outsourced tasks and ensure EY is performing as per contractual obligations.
• PMO would typically serve in the client-facing role and assist the lead on the project.

Your key responsibilities

• Assists the project effectively, without intensive oversight.
• Internal management of a project. PMO would typically have significant project management responsibilities; including communication with (especially on logistical or administrative matters) client and local teams as a matter of course.
• Displays significant ability to temporarily lead projects in the absence of seniors.
• Responsible not just for project quality, but for thinking about project quality creatively (expected to be alert to opportunities for process improvement, better quality control, smarter and more efficient audits, and so on), and meaningfully engaging with client escalation responses or other feedback to devise better review approaches.
• Ability to manage a project in all other respects including staff management and leadership, performance metrics, quality, deadlines, tracking, and assurance with supervision from their seniors who serve as the client lead
• Point person for the project team to spot/address/escalate issues that aren\xe2\x80\x99t substantive (e.g., a workflow problem or suggestion, team related issues)
• Expected to innovate and improve upon document review processes and techniques.
• Maximizes platform reporting/tracking ability.
• Effectively communicate with counsel or the client with respect to instruction changes, suggestions for changes, and seeking/interpreting guidance.
• Strong subject matter expertise and ability to adapt and learn any type of subject matter.
• Ensure compliance with policies and processes.

Skills and attributes for success
To qualify for the role, you must have

• A bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s or master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in accounting and finance,
• Ability to read and understand payment applications, fixed asset report, identify qualified assets, construction agreement, invoice (including civil, architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing disciplines),
• Experience/knowledge of accounting methods and fixed assets used in various industries, real estates and commercial buildings
• Experience with Microsoft Excel and Access,
• Additional project management certifications is a plus.

• Strong time management and task management skills and working with different engagement teams
• Ability to handle and manage multiple concurrent engagement timelines and stakeholders
• Ability to lead conversations with proper communication skills, and to be flexible.
