Your field of responsibility This includes: . Producing monthly balance sheet reports . Producing monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigating that differences between the sub-ledger and general ledger, are resolved . Ensuring nostro breaks are cleared on a timely basis . Posting journal reclass . Writing of residual balances on a monthly basis This role requires someone with drive and determination to take ownership of their area, investigate any issues, produce monthly balance sheet reports and get involved with any project work when required. This role is ideal for a motivated individual with an inquisitive mind and strong analytical skills. Your future colleagues Currently there are two experienced members of the BC&E team, and they belong to a team of 4 including the team lead who is responsible for Bank charges, Brokerage, clearing and exchange balance sheet control. Your skills and experience The BC&E balance sheet controller will require the following: Proven experience of monthly balance sheet reconciliation Accounting knowledge and any accounts qualification would be an added advantage Proven experience in producing monthly payables reports Knowledge of Excalibur (sub ledger), peoplesoft (general ledger) and Intellimatch or CTC (statement reconciliations system) would be advantageous Past experience in working for an investment bank would be an advantage Result oriented, dedicated, hardworking who can work on own initiative and can deliver on time optimally under pressure with a high level of integrity and flexibility, sense of urgency, attention to detail and quality standards Dedication to fostering an inclusive culture and value diverse perspectives
