Job Description


Primary Purpose of Job: Contribute to the ongoing growth of STANTEC ResourceNet Private India Ltd by providing technical expertise in the various sectors, as part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering conceptual design, outline design, detailed design, and construction support for Bridge/Transportation projects across the STANTEC offices (UK, US, Middle East, Asia Pacific etc.). To be involved in the implementation and delivery of leading edge programmes and projects. Support project managers, work as team leader by providing technical support to ensure that project outcomes in terms of budget, schedule, technical and quality standards, meet both the client and STANTEC expectations Key Accountabilities: Knowledge of Codes and Standards - loads, load paths and design Seismic and Wind load calculations and analysis Structural Analysis Knowledge of Prestressed concrete and steel composite Bridge design Knowledge of Load rating for Concrete and Steel Bridges Preparation of technical reports/ Layouts Preparation of Bill of Quantities Train and supervise Bridge Designers to prepare 3D models and plans, Carry out other duties as may be assigned from time to time by supervisor/management, Need to work off-hours for client co-ordination: Occasionally Qualifications: Master\'s degree in Structural Engineering 5 - 10 years of experience of which at least 6-8 years should include international work experience. North American and/or UK experience preferred Candidate with UK CEng/IStruct or North America Professional Engineering is preferred Understanding of the engineering principles, basic structural analysis, and design concepts Experience in leading/ guiding team of engineers and CAD detailers Sound knowledge of all technical standards such as AASHTO bridge specifications, DMRB, (UK), and other similar standards Knowledge of Euro/ AS-NZ/ NA codes preferred Good experience of using software like LEAP Bridge, MIDAS, OpenBridge Modeler, STAAD-Pro, L-Pile, MATHCAD, & Excel worksheets. Knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStation & Revit preferred Experience in Data/ Document management system - ProjectWise, BIM360 Innovative, result oriented, provide ideas and work on them General knowledge of construction techniques and practices & construction management Ability to make decisions independently and strong problem resolutions skills. Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of staff, technical specialist and Discipline leads across the globe Capable to analyze, assess, evaluate the issues, complexity pertaining to projects / work packages and support the team lead in mitigating them in advance Competent level of baseline skills, i.e., professional, and confident with the essential, basic business and communication skills that are required for career growth in all positions Rigorous attention to detail, able to understand and adopt workflows and commitment to personal professional development Flexible attitude to accepting different work assignments and pro-active attitude to execution / delivery Primary Location: India | Pune Organization: Stantec IN Business Unit Employee Status: R Job Level: Nonmanager Travel: N Schedule: FULL_TIME Job Posting: 12/10/2023 Req ID: 1000019
