About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and outgoing Brand Promoter to join our Marlboro team in Delhi NCR. As a key representative of one of the world's leading cigarette brands, you will drive brand visibility, engage with retailers and legal-age consumers, and boost sales in a fast-paced retail environment. Key Responsibilities
Brand Promotion & Engagement: Actively promote Marlboro products (e.g., Marlboro Red, Gold, and variants) at retail outlets, events, and pop-up activations to increase brand awareness and trial among legal-age smokers (21+). Distribute promotional materials, samples (where permitted), and branded merchandise to highlight product benefits.
Retailer Relationship Building: Visit assigned stores daily to train retail staff on Marlboro's unique selling points, ensure optimal product placement (e.g., eye-level shelving, end-caps), and negotiate for prime visibility. Maintain strong partnerships to drive consistent stock orders and repeat sales.
Sales Driving & Reporting: Achieve monthly sales targets by influencing consumer choices and upselling premium variants. Track promotion effectiveness through daily reports on footfall, interactions, samples distributed, and sales uplift using simple mobile apps or provided tools.
Event & Activation Support: Participate in brand events, trade shows, and in-store demos in Delhi NCR, setting up promotional booths, handling logistics, and creating an exciting atmosphere to attract crowds.
Compliance & Market Insights: Adhere strictly to all regulatory guidelines (e.g., COTPA compliance, no promotions to minors). Gather feedback from retailers and consumers on market trends, competitor activities, and preferences to share with the sales team for strategy refinement.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with a team of promoters and supervisors to execute regional campaigns, ensuring seamless coverage across Delhi NCR territories.
Requirements
Education: Minimum 12th pass (Higher Secondary) or equivalent; a diploma in Sales, Marketing, or Business preferred.
Experience: 0-2 years in sales promotion, retail merchandising, or FMCG field roles. Freshers with strong communication skills are encouraged to apply.
Skills:
Excellent verbal communication and persuasion abilities in English and Hindi.
Outgoing personality with a positive attitude and ability to handle rejection gracefully.
Basic knowledge of sales techniques, branding, and customer service.
Comfortable with outdoor/field work (6-8 hours/day, including weekends).
Tech-savvy for basic reporting via mobile apps.
Other: Must be 21+ years old, physically fit for mobility across Delhi NCR (two-wheeler with valid license preferred), and willing to travel within the region. Background in tobacco/FMCG promotions is a plus.
