Job Description

Sales Strategy & Market Entry Execution



Translate the company's global sales strategy into an India-specific approach. Develop clear go-to-market plans including product placement, channel strategy, pricing, and promotional planning. Analyse regional differences within India (North, West, South, East) and customise strategies accordingly.

2. Distributor Identification, Acquisition & Management



Identify suitable distributors with strong FMCG/healthcare/beauty channel presence. Evaluate distributors' capabilities--coverage, warehousing, logistics, sales team strength, and financial stability. Negotiate contracts, pricing structures, and partnership terms. Continuously monitor distributor performance and ensure achievement of monthly/quarterly targets.

3. Building a Sustainable Sales & Distribution Network



Map out potential sales channels: modern trade, general trade, e-commerce, pharmacies, salons, specialty stores. Develop distribution expansion plans to ensure pan-India availability over time. Implement sales forecasts, demand planning, and supply coordination to ensure product availability.

4. Market Analysis & Competitive Intelligence



Conduct detailed market studies to understand customer preferences, segment gaps, and competitive brands. Track competitor pricing, promotions, campaigns, and market movement. Share detailed market reports with the HQ to support strategic decisions.

5. Brand Management Support



Work closely with the brand team to ensure correct positioning in the Indian cultural and consumer context. Suggest localisation of products, packaging, or marketing messaging if required. Participate in product launches, events, exhibitions, and trade promotions.

6. Marketing & Sales Promotion Activities



Develop India-specific marketing plans including BTL activities, digital promotions, influencer tie-ups, sampling, etc. Coordinate with marketing agencies for campaign execution. Track ROI and continuously optimise marketing spend.

7. Communication & Collaboration



Serve as the key point of contact between the Indian operations and the parent company in Germany. Provide regular updates, business reports, sales insights, and improvement recommendations.
