The Branch Manager oversees the overall functioning and profitability of the logistics branch. They are responsible for managing day-to-day operations, ensuring high service quality, leading the branch team, maintaining client relationships, and achieving financial and operational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management:
Oversee and coordinate all daily logistics and transportation operations.
Ensure timely and accurate movement of goods and materials.
Monitor route planning, dispatch schedules, and delivery performance.
Team Leadership:
Manage and lead a team of supervisors, drivers, warehouse staff, and office personnel.
Recruit, train, and evaluate team performance.
Foster a positive, efficient, and safety-focused work culture.
Customer Service:
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through prompt issue resolution.
Work with the sales team to understand and meet client needs.
Financial Management:
Prepare and manage branch budgets and forecasts.
Monitor revenue, expenses, and profitability of the branch.
Ensure cost-effective operations and resource utilization.
Compliance & Safety:
Ensure compliance with company policies, government regulations, and safety standards.
Monitor fleet and warehouse safety and maintenance.
Handle audits, inspections, and regulatory documentation.
Reporting:
Generate regular reports on operational performance, costs, and customer feedback.
Analyze branch performance and suggest improvement plans.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
2+ years of experience in logistics or transportation management, 1 years in a leadership role preferred.
Strong understanding of supply chain and logistics systems.
Excellent leadership, decision-making, and communication skills.
Proficiency in logistics software (TMS, WMS, ERP).
Ability to manage stress and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
