The Branch Manager is responsible for overall branch operations, business growth, staff management, customer service, and compliance with RBI regulations and company policies. The role ensures profitability, asset quality, and efficient branch functioning.
Key Roles & ResponsibilitiesBranch Operations
Manage day-to-day branch operations and ensure smooth functioning.
Ensure adherence to company policies, operational guidelines, and RBI regulations.
Maintain proper records, registers, and documentation at the branch level.
Business Development
Achieve branch-level business targets for loans, advances, and collections.
Identify new business opportunities and promote NBFC products.
Monitor portfolio growth and asset quality.
Credit & Loan Management
Oversee loan sourcing, appraisal, sanction recommendations, and disbursement.
Ensure proper KYC, documentation, and verification as per policy.
Monitor loan performance and control NPAs.
Collection & Recovery
Ensure timely EMI collections and effective recovery follow-ups.
Handle delinquent accounts and initiate recovery actions as per legal norms.
Coordinate with collection executives and legal teams when required.
Customer Relationship Management
Handle key customers and resolve escalated complaints.
Ensure high standards of customer service and satisfaction.
Maintain long-term customer relationships and retention.
Staff Management
Lead, train, and supervise branch staff.
Allocate duties and monitor staff performance.
Ensure discipline, attendance, and productivity of employees.
Audit & Compliance
Coordinate internal, statutory, and concurrent audits.
Ensure audit observations are closed within timelines.
Safeguard company assets, cash, and documents.
Reporting & Administration
Prepare and submit MIS, performance reports, and compliance reports.
Ensure timely communication with Head Office and regional office.
Manage branch expenses and administrative activities.
Authority & Accountability
Authorized signatory for branch-level documents as per company policy.
Accountable for branch profitability, compliance, and asset quality.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Graduate / Postgraduate (Commerce, Finance, or Management preferred).
Minimum experience in NBFC / Banking / Financial Services (branch operations).
Strong leadership, decision-making, and communication skills.
Knowledge of RBI norms, KYC, AML, and loan processes.
Computer proficiency and reporting skills.
