The Branch Manager is responsible for overseeing end-to-end operations of the jewellery showroom/branch, ensuring sales growth, customer satisfaction, staff performance, inventory control, and maintaining the brand's standards. The role requires strong leadership, sales expertise, and operational excellence within the jewellery retail industry.
Key Responsibilities1. Sales & Business Development
Achieve monthly and annual sales targets for the branch.
Develop strategies to increase walk-ins, conversions, and average bill value.
Monitor sales performance of the team and provide guidance and training.
Plan and execute promotional activities, seasonal campaigns, and local marketing initiatives.
2. Customer Relationship Management
Ensure exceptional customer service and high customer satisfaction levels.
Handle high-value customers, VIP clients, and grievance resolutions.
Maintain long-term customer relationships to drive repeat business.
3. Team Management
Lead, train, and motivate the sales team to deliver high performance.
Allocate tasks, manage shift schedules, and ensure proper staffing.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching for improvement.
Ensure staff adherence to grooming standards and company policies.
4. Inventory & Stock Management
Oversee stock replenishment, stock rotation, and ageing control.
Ensure accurate stock count, timely audits, and zero stock discrepancies.
Coordinate with the head office for procurement and transfers.
Maintain high-value gold, diamond, and precious stone inventory with proper security protocols.
5. Operations & Store Administration
Ensure smooth daily operations of the branch.
Maintain showroom hygiene, visual merchandising, and display standards.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements such as hallmarking, billing standards, and audit procedures.
Manage cash handling, billing, and financial reporting activities.
6. Compliance & Security
Ensure branch compliance with company SOPs, audit guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
Oversee safety and security of staff, customers, and high-value inventory.
Monitor CCTV, security personnel, and safety protocols.
Qualifications & Experience
Graduate in Business Administration / Retail Management (preferred).
2-4 years of experience in jewellery retail in a supervisory/managerial role.
Strong knowledge of gold, diamonds, gemstones, purity, pricing, and jewellery trends.
Proficiency in retail ERP/Billing systems.
