- Minimum requirement is a degree holder in an art-related field.
- Training in exhibition logistics management and visual arts is a must.
- Minimum 7-10 years of relevant experience in handling exhibition logistics in big
- Experience & knowledge in freight requirements is a must, encompassing the entire supply chain & reverse logistics in exhibitions, events & fine arts.
- Good relations with Global exhibition logistics companies are a must.
- Additionally, experience and knowledge in equipment and material sourcing, installation & set-up will be an advantage.
- A typical career path of Exhibitions & Events Logistics Sales Manager would look like this: Events & Exhibitions Logistics Coordinator -> Operations In-charge -> Operations Manager -> Sales Manager Exhibitions, Events & Fine Arts Logistics -> GM Exhibitions, Events & Fine Arts Logistics -> Head of Exhibitions, Events & Fine Arts Logistics.
- Thorough knowledge of the exhibition freight forwarding industry.
- Good relations with global agents in the exhibition logistics industry, especially IELA agents.
- Relations with vendors like shipping lines, airlines, customs, equipment hire companies, labor hire companies, port authorities & airport authorities.
- Good organizational ability and decisiveness.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge and familiarity with the freight, exhibition aesthetics and overall maintenance of exhibitions.
- Knowledge of logistics in set up and presenting formal exhibitions.
- Good eye for detail.
- Team player.
- Ability to interact with people from multi cultural backgrounds.
- Should have a record for timely completion of exhibitions & events with tight quality
- Good background in planning, scheduling & monitoring exhibitions, events & fine art projects.
- Effective planning/coordination, execution skills between organizers, vendors, overseas offices/agents, transportation companies & various agencies involved in the supply chain.
- Ability to conceive the overall picture & preempt delays & obstacles by exploring
- Ability to prepare / review contracts as per the local laws, standard operating procedures (SOP) & progress reports.
- Ability to prepare / review resources, cost analyses, delay analyses, cost & method studies.
- Good relations with customers & vendors in the local market & the ability to surpass targets on an on-going basis.
- Should be presentable.
- Have the ability to represent the business & develop / manage a strong customer base in the local market.
