Position Overview:
The
BOQ Specialist
will be responsible for preparing detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost estimates, rate analysis, and tender documentation for healthcare and hospital interior projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quantity surveying, cost control, and project estimation for civil, interior, electrical, plumbing, and MEP works.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare accurate
Bills of Quantities (BOQ)
based on architectural, interior, and MEP drawings.
Conduct
rate analysis
,
cost estimation
, and
budget preparation
for turnkey healthcare projects.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, and project managers for design inputs and clarifications.
Evaluate
material take-offs
and
quantify requirements
for procurement planning.
Assist in
vendor and contractor comparison
, quotation analysis, and cost negotiations.
Maintain and update
cost databases
and
rate sheets
for ongoing and upcoming projects.
Ensure
accuracy and consistency
of quantities across drawings and specifications.
Support
tender preparation
, documentation, and post-tender clarifications.
Monitor and report
project cost variations
and recommend corrective measures.
Collaborate with the project execution team for
BOQ verification during execution
and
final billing reconciliation
.
Required Skills and Competencies:
Strong knowledge of
construction measurement standards
,
estimation techniques
, and
quantity take-off
procedures.
Proficiency in
AutoCAD
,
MS Excel (advanced level)
, and
estimation software
(such as CostX, Candy, or similar).
Sound understanding of
interior finishes
,
civil works
,
HVAC
,
electrical
, and
plumbing
systems.
Excellent analytical, numerical, and attention-to-detail skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a
multi-disciplinary team
environment.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Qualification & Experience:
Diploma or Degree in
Civil Engineering
,
Quantity Surveying
, or
Construction Management
.
Minimum
5-10 years of experience
in BOQ preparation and estimation for
interior or healthcare projects
.
Experience in
hospital or healthcare sector projects
will be an added advantage.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ?30,000.00 - ?40,000.00 per month
