Job Summary:

We are looking for a

BOQ & Estimation Engineer

who will be responsible for preparing accurate

Bills of Quantities (BOQ)

and

cost estimates

for fire-fighting projects and AMC works. The role involves studying drawings, site conditions, specifications, and providing competitive estimates to clients while ensuring compliance with applicable fire safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. BOQ Preparation

Prepare

detailed BOQs

based on: Tender documents Drawings (AutoCAD/PDF) Site surveys Quantification of materials for: Fire Hydrant Systems Fire Detection & Alarm Systems Fire Extinguishers Sprinkler Systems Fire AMC works

2. Cost Estimation

Prepare

cost estimates

including: Material cost Labor cost Installation & testing charges Transportation and taxes Provide

accurate project costing

to management for pricing decisions. Maintain rate analysis and vendor price comparisons.

3. Client Estimation & Proposal Support

Support sales team with: Project estimates Cost justifications Scope clarifications Assist in preparing

technical & commercial proposals

for clients.

4. Drawing & Specification Review

Read and understand: Fire system layouts Technical specifications IS / NBC / Local Fire Authority norms Coordinate with design and execution teams for quantity validation.

5. Coordination & Documentation

Coordinate with: Procurement team for material rates Site team for execution inputs Maintain BOQ records, estimation sheets, and revision tracking. Update BOQs based on design changes or client requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications:Educational Qualification

Diploma / BE / BTech in Mechanical / Fire / Civil Engineering Relevant experience in fire-fighting systems preferred

Technical Skills

Strong knowledge of: Fire Hydrant, Detection, Sprinkler & Extinguisher systems BOQ preparation & estimation methodology Proficiency in: MS Excel (must) AutoCAD (basic to intermediate) PDF measurement tools

Experience

1-5 years experience in: BOQ preparation Estimation for fire-fighting or MEP projects

Soft Skills

Good analytical and numerical skills Attention to detail Clear communication with sales and project teams Ability to meet deadlines under pressure

Preferred Knowledge (Added Advantage):

Knowledge of IS Standards, NBC, Local Fire NOCs Experience in AMC estimation & service-based costing Vendor negotiation exposure

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

Accuracy of BOQs Timely submission of estimates Minimal variance between estimated and actual cost Client satisfaction on pricing clarity

Pay: ?19,000.00 - ?49,274.07 per month
