Summary

Responsible for activities related to the construction, building and commissioning on customer site, from site mobilization, through civil, erection and commissioning work, as well as management activities related to this scope. Accountable for the quality of own work. Subject to direct operations supervision/prescribed work instructions/systems checking. Executes within a well-defined operations framework. There is generally a step by step sequence of standard operational tasks which need to be followed to achieve an end result.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Site activities related to electrical installation of equipment and plant scope.
  
  May lead others directly or indirectly and/or sponsor subcontactors.
• Developing conceptual knowledge of professional discipline. May include support roles with specialized expertise or technical knowledge in broad area.
• Applies general knowledge of business developed through education or past experience. Understands how work of own team contributes to the area.
• Resolves issues using established procedures. Consults supervisor or more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
• Collaborates with others to solve issues. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Exchanges technical information, asks questions and checks for understanding.
• System wise or package wise major milestones achieved on time.
• BOP Electrical site Commissioning targets are achieved.
• Machines are performing well with desired parameters for concern package.
• All the contractual requirements and tests are met for designated package
• All the punch points are closed for designated package
• EHS Road Map targets are achieved with zero lost time injuries or fatalities.
• Customer satisfaction survey targets are achieved.
• All required performance assessments are completed.
• All the protocols/ final data/ settings shared in BOX folder
• Red marked drawings for designated package are updated and submitted to Engineering through proper channel (preferably through BOX folder)
• All the feedbacks are communicated to concerned through proper channel

Required Qualifications

• University degree (comparable with bachelor / master) or equivalent experience.
• Fluent in English, Hindi.

• For roles outside of the USA- This role requires basic experience in the Project Management & Electrical Construction. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor\'s degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
• For roles in USA - Bachelor\'s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)).

Desired Characteristics

• 3-5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in Testing & Commissioning of Electrical installation of Power Plants.
• Experience and Knowledge of Instrumentation and interfacing of equipments with SCADA system
• Knowledge in Protection system and PLC is desirable.
• Excellent inter-personal skills, a proactive team player in combination with a strong self-supporting independent character.

• 
  Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
• Experience in all BOP Electrical Packages. installation & Commissioning
• Should be competent in the Installation and Commissioning of major Power plant components like,
