Position Overview



We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable

Temporary Book Keeper

to support financial and inventory-related tasks during the 9-day book event organized by the National Book Trust (NBT), India. The role involves maintaining accurate sales records, managing cash flow, supporting billing operations, and ensuring smooth financial tracking throughout the event.

Key Responsibilities



Maintain daily sales records and update bookkeeping sheets/software. Track cash, UPI, and card transactions with accuracy. Generate bills/invoices for book sales and maintain proper documentation. Manage stock registers and update book inventory movement. Assist in daily sales reconciliation and prepare end-of-day financial summaries. Ensure all financial entries are accurate, organized, and audit-ready. Maintain professionalism and customer-friendly communication at the stall.

Skills & Requirements



Basic knowledge of bookkeeping, invoicing, or billing. Familiarity with Excel/Google Sheets or sales management software. Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail. Good communication and customer-handling skills. Ability to work continuously for 9 days (November 22-30, 2025). Punctual, organized, and trustworthy.
