Position Overview:
DM Legal is seeking an experienced Book Writer to collaborate on the creation of a compelling autobiographical book. This role is ideal for a seasoned writer who excels at capturing personal stories with authenticity, emotional depth, and narrative structure--particularly within Punjabi cultural contexts.
You will work closely with the subject and the DM Legal team to transform life experiences into a well-structured, engaging autobiography. The role requires sensitivity, discretion, and the ability to conduct in-depth interviews and shape them into a powerful long-form narrative.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct detailed interviews and research to gather personal history, stories, and context.
Write, structure, and edit a full-length autobiography with a clear narrative arc.
Capture voice, tone, and cultural nuance authentically, especially within Punjabi contexts.
Draft, revise, and finalize chapters based on feedback and collaboration.
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism throughout the project.
Meet agreed-upon milestones, timelines, and deadlines.
What We're Looking for:
Proven experience writing autobiographies, memoirs, or long-form biographical works.
Strong portfolio demonstrating published or completed autobiography projects.
Fluency in Punjabi (spoken required; written preferred)
Excellent interviewing and storytelling skills.
Ability to work collaboratively and respectfully with personal subject matter.
Based in India and available for interviews during local time zones (New Jersey, US)
