Manage BOMs

: Oversee the creation, accuracy, and management of Bills of Materials for various products, ensuring all components are listed and updated.

Collaboration

: Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to maintain BOM integrity and support product lifecycle management.

Cost Analysis

: Analyze BOM data to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Training

: Educate team members on BOM processes and best practices, and manage changes through established control processes. 1 Source

BOM Engineer

:

Develop Structured BOMs

: Create and maintain structured BOMs that reflect design intent and manufacturing requirements, ensuring all components are documented accurately.

Cross-Functional Communication

: Collaborate with design engineers, manufacturing teams, and procurement to ensure BOMs are complete and up-to-date in PLM and ERP systems.

Impact on Production

: Ensure that BOM accuracy directly impacts production efficiency, cost control, and product quality.
