The Boiler Operator will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining the boiler system used for generating steam in the AAC (Autoclaved Aerated Concrete) Blocks manufacturing process. The role ensures safe and efficient boiler operations to support autoclaving and other steam-dependent processes while maintaining compliance with statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor boilers to ensure proper steam generation for AAC block autoclaves.
Maintain steam pressure, water levels, and fuel supply as per operational standards.
Carry out routine inspection and preventive maintenance of boiler and associated equipment.
Check water quality and maintain chemical treatment for boiler feed water.
Log operational data such as pressure, temperature, fuel consumption, and maintenance activities.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, boiler act requirements, and pollution control norms.
Report any faults, abnormal conditions, or safety hazards immediately to the supervisor.
Assist in shutdown, startup, and emergency operations of the boiler.
Maintain proper housekeeping of boiler room and related equipment areas.
Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to ensure uninterrupted steam supply.
Qualifications & Skills:
Minimum
Boiler Attendant Certificate (First Class / Second Class)
as per statutory requirements.
ITI / Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Power Plant Engineering preferred.
2-5 years of experience as a Boiler Operator in an industrial plant (experience in AAC/autoclave-based industries is an advantage).
Knowledge of boiler operation, safety protocols, and preventive maintenance.
Ability to handle emergency situations and troubleshooting.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Work Environment:
Plant-based role with exposure to heat, noise, and steam.
Requires strict adherence to PPE usage (helmets, gloves, safety shoes, masks, ear protection).
Shift-based working schedule.
