Requirements
I. Position Summary
Is responsible for safe as well as continuous operation and maintenance of Boiler, coal handling plant and RO plant. Ensure continuous supply of steam and water for conditioning of leaf tobacco in the plant.
II. Key Focus Areas:
1. Operations and Maintenance of Boiler (fluidized bed combustion & reciprocating boiler) & Accessories Uptime >99.5%
2. Operations & Maintenance of steam lines, fuel handling Plant & Water Treatment System
3. Knowledge on Statutory requirements for Boiler.
4. Full understanding on safety systems & practices on operations and maintenance of boiler and associated equipment.
5. Have very good understanding on troubleshooting operational challenges to improve the performance of boiler.
6. Implementation of 5S in the area of operations.
7. Thorough understanding on preventive maintenance checklist and handling breakdowns.

Coordinating with production partner to assess demand and operate the boiler as per plant requirement.
To coordinate the preventive maintenance program in liaison with technical associate for:
a. Checking and condition monitoring of equipment as per the daily/weekly/monthly schedule, with compliance to corporate EHS guidelines and as specified by OEM/GEP
b. To plan for off-season, Sunday works.
c. To coordinate with TA for coal and chemical usage

Ensure bag filters of boiler and coal handling is always online to meet desired emission standards.

Ensure ash draining and stored as per ITC EHS guidelines

Carry out yearly maintenance as per statutory guidelines of IBR.

Ensuring blowdowns from boiler and RO plant is properly discharged to ETP Operational

Operate the boiler as per the boiler manufacturers protocols

Ensures availability of dry saturated steam is given to the plant by regulating drain valves and steam traps.

Ensuring all steam traps/ PPP (pressure powered pumps) are functioning normally.

Ensure the coal handling plant is functioning normally

Ensure RO water quality to boiler and plant by adjustment of the chemical dosages.

Maintenance of assigned steam lines as per the checklist.

Maintaining log-books and checklist

Ensuring safety work practices in boiler machinery and associated people.

Ensuring smooth start-up and shutdown of boiler as per the laid down OEM standards. Total time 100%
