Minimum 3 years of experience in fired boiler operations

Job Profile

o

Supervise and operate FCCU & CCU boiler systems, ensuring safe and efficient performance

o

Coordinate routine and non-routine maintenance activities; maintain detailed logs and records

o

Manage manning arrangements, shift schedules, leave tracking, and rota adjustments for boiler staff

o

Perform isolation and commissioning of pumps, turbines, level gauges, control valves, relief valves, and chemical injection systems

o

Operate Forced Draft (FD) systems and perform boiler blowdown based on sample results and operational instructions

o

Conduct soot blowing through all soot blowers and manage steam sampling (BFW/Blowdown/Steam)

o

Monitor field and panel readings; maintain logbooks accurately

o

Light burners and prepare chemical batches; monitor chemical injection processes

o

Execute relief valve testing, steam diversion, and venting during shutdowns and startups

o

Coordinate CO gas diversion activities with FCCU shift in-charge

o

Detect catalyst leaks or hot spots in COB to prevent unit shutdowns

o

Assist with instrument isolation and tapping procedures

o

Ensure proper status of cold and hot work permits for maintenance activities

o

Monitor lab results and coordinate with third-party labs to maintain operational parameters

o

Handle emergency situations with prompt and effective response

o

Conduct training for boiler attendants and ensure familiarity with DCS graphics

o

Participate in safety meetings, internal/external audits, and inspections by Boiler Inspector

Languages

Proficiency in English and Hindi
