Qualification:- Technical degree in ITI, Polytechnic, Btech (in Machanical, electrical ) etc
Role Objective:
To act as the key link between customers and the body shop team, ensuring smooth handling of accident/insurance jobs, estimation, approvals, and timely delivery of vehicles with complete customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Customer Handling
Greet and attend customers visiting the body shop for accident/insurance repairs.
Understand customer concerns and assess visible damages.
Explain repair process, timelines, and documentation requirements clearly to customers.
2. Estimation & Job Card Preparation
Prepare accurate repair estimates using Maruti Suzuki guidelines.
Create job cards and record all repair details in the DMS system.
Take necessary approvals from customers before proceeding.
3. Insurance Coordination
Liaise with surveyors for claim approvals.
Ensure proper documentation and processing of insurance claims.
Follow up with insurance companies to avoid delays.
4. Job Progress & Workshop Coordination
Coordinate with the body shop supervisor, technicians, and paint shop team for smooth execution.
Track repair status and ensure quality repairs as per MSIL standards.
Ensure availability of required spare parts and escalate shortages if any.
5. Vehicle Delivery & Customer Satisfaction
Conduct final inspection of repaired vehicles before delivery.
Explain the work carried out and hand over the vehicle to the customer.
Collect payment/insurance settlement and close the job card.
Take customer feedback and ensure high CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index) scores.
6. Reporting & MIS
Maintain records of estimates, insurance claims, and delivered vehicles.
Share daily/weekly reports with the Body Shop Manager.
Achieve monthly targets for job load, throughput, and revenue.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Good communication & customer handling skills.
Basic technical knowledge of accident repair, denting & painting.
Knowledge of insurance claim processes.
Strong coordination and follow-up skills.
Computer proficiency (MS Office, DMS, Estimation software).
Qualifications & Experience:
Graduate / Diploma in Automobile / Mechanical preferred.
2-5 years' experience as Body Shop Advisor / Service Advisor in automobile dealership (preferably Maruti Suzuki).
