The Bodyshop Advisor acts as a key liaison between customers and the bodyshop team. This role is responsible for understanding customer concerns related to vehicle body repairs, preparing accurate job estimates, coordinating repair work, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet customers, understand repair requirements, and document damage details.
Conduct preliminary inspection of damaged vehicles and prepare accurate estimates.
Coordinate with technicians to assess repair needs and timelines.
Explain repair processes, costs, and timelines to customers in a clear and professional manner.
Obtain customer approvals for repair jobs and maintain proper job card documentation.
Follow up on parts availability, repair progress, and ensure timely completion.
Maintain continuous communication with customers regarding job status.
Ensure quality checks before vehicle delivery.
Handle insurance-related documentation and coordinate with insurance surveyors.
Address customer queries and resolve complaints promptly.
Achieve bodyshop revenue targets and maintain CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index) scores.
Maintain cleanliness, safety, and workflow efficiency in the Bodyshop area.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Graduate / Diploma in Automobile or Mechanical field preferred.
Minimum 1-3 years of experience as a Service Advisor / Bodyshop Advisor in the automobile industry.
Strong knowledge of vehicle body repairs, refinishing, and insurance processes.
Excellent communication and customer-handling skills.
Ability to estimate repair costs accurately.
Computer proficiency (DMS, Excel, Email).
Strong problem-solving and coordination abilities.
