Job Description

Monitoring and Control

: Use specialized software to monitor and control various building systems, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), lighting, and security systems.

Alarm Response

: Respond to system alarms, alerts, and fault conditions to ensure the safety, security, and proper functioning of the building.

System Maintenance

: Perform routine maintenance tasks on building systems and assist with troubleshooting and diagnosing faults.

Troubleshooting

: Identify and resolve technical issues with the BMS hardware and software to prevent system failures and disruptions.

Documentation

: Keep accurate logs and reports of system performance, incidents, and maintenance activities.

Coordination

: Work with facility management staff, technicians, and engineers to address maintenance needs and ensure seamless building operations.

Efficiency and Compliance

: Strive to optimize energy efficiency, maintain occupant comfort, and ensure the building's operations comply with safety and building codes.
Skills and Qualifications

Technical Knowledge

: A strong understanding of BMS software, hardware, and the mechanical and electrical systems they control.

Analytical Skills

: Ability to assess system performance, diagnose issues, and make timely decisions.

Problem-Solving

: Proficiency in fault diagnosis and rectification for a range of BMS equipment and systems.

Communication

: Clear communication skills to coordinate with maintenance staff and other building occupants.

Quick Response

: Ability to respond quickly and effectively to alarms and unexpected situations.
