Key Responsibilities
Equipment Management
: Install, test, calibrate, maintain (preventative & corrective), and repair a wide range of biomedical devices (e.g., imaging systems, patient monitors, ventilators).
Staff Training
: Educate doctors, nurses, and technicians on proper equipment usage, care, and safety procedures.
Safety & Compliance
: Conduct safety audits, ensure adherence to hospital policies and national/international standards (e.g., FDA, ISO), and manage risk classifications.
Procurement & Integration
: Assist in selecting, evaluating, and integrating new technologies, managing inventory, and liaising with vendors for service contracts.
Innovation
: Work with clinical teams to troubleshoot issues, develop custom solutions, and research improvements for existing devices or new technologies.
Documentation
: Maintain detailed records of maintenance, repairs, installations, and training sessions for regulatory and quality purposes.
