JOB TITLE: Bio Medical Engineer DEPARTMENT: Bio Medical REPORTING TO: GM DIRECT REPORT: GM RESPONSIBILITIES Develop a Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule, ensure full preventative maintenance is carried out, plan in missed maintenance activities, and lead the team to deliver effectively. To attend complaints related to equipment issues and get it resolved within TAT. Prioritize the maintenance and repairs of equipment and parts. Install, adjust, maintain, repair, or provide technical support for biomedical equipment. a) Calibrate scientific or technical equipment. b) Install instrumentation or electronic equipment or systems. c) To do corrective and preventive maintenance of equipments. Monitoring contract services viz. A.M.C. and C.M.C. Testing and maintaining clinical equipment. Setting standards & ensuring their compliance. Troubleshoot problems arising in medical devices and surgical instruments, perform root cause analysis and resolve problems. Evaluate the safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of biomedical equipment. Use data analysis to help prepare for and prevent future problems Design systems and products, such as artificial internal organs, artificial devices that replace body parts, and machines for diagnosing medical problems Train clinicians and other personnel on the proper use of equipment Maintaining records; for e.g. equipment history. Maintaining equipment inventory for all existing & incoming equipment\xe2\x80\x99s. Active involvement in the activities of the hospital\xe2\x80\x99s safety committee & checking safety hazards. Complies with codes by adhering to requirements; advising senior management on needed actions.
