Job Description

He must ensures the reliability, safety and functionality of all medical equipment used within the hospital, supporting effective patient diagnosis and treatment by maintaining, calibrating and repairing devices and training clinical staff on their proper use.

Key Responsibilities

Installation & Setup:

Install, adjust, and test new medical equipment and systems.

Maintenance & Repair:

Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, troubleshoot malfunctions, and repair a wide range of biomedical devices.

Calibration & Testing:

Conduct quality assurance checks, calibration, and performance testing to ensure accuracy and adherence to standards.

Staff Training:

Provide technical training and demonstrations to doctors, nurses, and other staff on equipment operation, care, and safety.

Compliance:

Ensure all equipment meets safety regulations, codes (like FDA, Joint Commission), and internal quality standards.

Documentation:

Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, equipment inventory, and performance reports.

Collaboration:

Work with healthcare professionals, vendors, and other engineering teams to resolve issues and implement new technologies.

Inventory Management:

Monitor supplies, anticipate needs, and assist with equipment procurement and service contract evaluation.
