Inspect, maintain, calibrate, and repair medical equipment such as patient monitors, infusion pumps, ventilators, imaging systems, and laboratory devices.
Equipment Management:
Manage the medical equipment lifecycle, including evaluation, installation, commissioning, upgrades, and decommissioning.
Clinical Support:
Provide on-site technical support to clinical staff and respond promptly to equipment-related issues in patient care areas.
Safety & Compliance:
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, manufacturer guidelines, and regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, ISO, Joint Commission).
Conduct regular safety checks and preventive maintenance programs.
Training & Education:
Train clinical staff on the proper and safe use of medical equipment.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of equipment inventory, maintenance activities, service reports, and regulatory documentation.
Vendor & Project Coordination:
Coordinate with external vendors for equipment servicing, warranties, and service contracts.
Assist in planning and implementing new medical technology projects.
Risk Management:
Participate in incident investigations related to medical device failures and recommend corrective actions.
Technology Assessment:
Evaluate new medical technologies and recommend cost-effective, safe, and clinically appropriate solutions.
