Perform preventive maintenance and calibration of all diagnostic instruments (e.g., analyzers, X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, ECG, etc.) as per schedule.
2. Installation & Commissioning
Assist in installation and commissioning of new diagnostic equipment.
Verify equipment functionality and compliance with manufacturer specifications.
Conduct performance validation and user training for newly installed equipment.
3. Troubleshooting & Repair
Diagnose and rectify equipment breakdowns promptly to minimize downtime.
Coordinate with OEMs / service vendors for complex repairs or warranty claims.
Maintain spare parts inventory and track usage.
4. Compliance & Safety
Ensure all medical devices meet NABL / NABH / AERB safety and calibration standards.
Maintain documentation for internal and external audits.
Ensure adherence to biomedical waste management and electrical safety norms.
5. Vendor & AMC Management
Manage Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs) and Comprehensive Maintenance Contracts (CMCs).
Evaluate service reports and performance of vendors.
Ensure timely renewal and budget compliance of service agreements.
6. Training & Support
Train staff on proper equipment handling and basic troubleshooting.
Assist in drafting SOPs for equipment use and maintenance.
Support new equipment procurement through technical evaluation.
Maintain detailed maintenance logs and calibration records.
Identify potential equipment failures and ensure timely repairs.
