To ensure proper installation, maintenance, calibration, and repair of all medical equipment and devices used in the hospital, ensuring their safe and effective functioning at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot biomedical and ophthalmic equipment (OCT, Phaco machine, slit lamp, microscope, lasers, etc.).
Perform regular preventive maintenance and calibration of equipment as per schedule.
Maintain service and repair logs for all hospital equipment.
Train doctors, nurses, and OT technicians on proper usage and handling of equipment.
Coordinate with suppliers/vendors for servicing, spare parts, and warranty claims.
Ensure all biomedical equipment complies with safety and quality standards.
Provide technical support during surgeries and diagnostic procedures when required.
Assist in equipment planning, procurement, and evaluation of new technologies.
Qualifications & Skills:
B.Tech / Diploma in Biomedical Engineering or equivalent.
1-3 years of experience in hospital/medical equipment maintenance (experience in eye hospital preferred).
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
Knowledge of medical safety standards and regulatory compliance.
Good communication skills and ability to work with medical teams.
