Job Summary:

S. K. Bose College is seeking a committed and competent

Biology Lecturer

to deliver high-quality Biology instruction at the college level. The role requires effective classroom teaching, practical laboratory instruction, student mentoring, and active participation in academic and institutional activities.

Key Responsibilities:Teaching & Academic Duties

Teach

Biology theory and practicals

as per prescribed syllabus Prepare lesson plans and teaching-learning materials Conduct laboratory sessions, experiments, and demonstrations Use innovative teaching methods and educational technology Foster scientific thinking, curiosity, and conceptual clarity Provide academic support and mentoring to students

Assessment & Evaluation

Prepare and evaluate internal assessments, assignments, and practical records Maintain attendance, academic records, and student progress reports

Institutional Responsibilities

Participate in departmental meetings and academic planning Assist in organizing seminars, workshops, exhibitions, and academic events Support institutional initiatives, documentation, and quality processes Participate in co-curricular and extension activities as assigned

Eligibility Criteria (Mandatory):Educational Qualifications

Graduate or Post Graduate in Biology / Zoology / Botany / Life Sciences or relevant field

B.Ed. degree is mandatory

Experience in teaching College is preferred

Experience

Teaching experience at Junior College / College level preferred Fresh graduates/postgraduates with strong subject knowledge may apply
