Biomedical engineering department, or a research setting. Key responsibilities include sample handling, equipment calibration, stock management, and ensuring a safe and compliant environment. Duties and responsibilities Sample processing: Prepare, sort, label, and process biological samples for analysis in a laboratory. Equipment maintenance: Clean, maintain, and calibrate medical and laboratory equipment, such as centrifuges, pipettes, and analyzers, to ensure proper function. Record keeping: Accurately document all lab activities, including maintenance, experiments, and results, and manage data entry. Inventory management: Monitor and manage laboratory supplies, ordering new materials as needed. Safety and compliance: Adhere to strict safety regulations, standard operating procedures, and guidelines, including proper use of PPE and waste disposal. Administrative support: Assist with clerical duties such as managing phone calls, filing, and data entry. Technical support: Help with the installation and troubleshooting of new medical devices and equipment.
