Job Description

We are looking for a talented

BIM Engineer - Mechanical & Plumbing (MEP)

to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, managing, and coordinating comprehensive BIM models for MEP systems, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality, clash-free designs. You will work in close collaboration with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate MEP systems seamlessly into multidisciplinary project environments, particularly for

US and UK-based projects

.

Key Responsibilities

1.

BIM Model Development & Management

Create and maintain accurate 3D BIM models for MEP systems using

Autodesk Revit and Navisworks

. Ensure models adhere to

BIM Execution Plans (BEPs)

and required

Level of Development (LOD)

standards.
2.

Interdisciplinary Coordination

Work closely with architectural and structural teams to identify and resolve clashes. Conduct

clash detection and coordination reviews

using

Navisworks Manage

.
3.

Documentation & Standards Compliance

Generate construction documents,

shop drawings

, and

MEP schedules

from BIM models. Ensure deliverables comply with relevant

US/UK standards

(e.g.,

ASHRAE, IPC, UPC, BS Standards

) and project requirements.
4.

Quality Assurance & Control

Perform routine model audits to validate accuracy and design intent. Implement

QA/QC protocols

to uphold modeling standards and consistency.
5.

Technical Support & Automation

Assist in developing

Dynamo scripts

for process automation and efficiency. Provide technical mentorship and BIM guidance to junior engineers and modelers.
6.

Project Support & Communication

Attend design coordination meetings, client presentations, and internal reviews. Respond to

RFIs

, support issue resolution, and provide MEP insights throughout all project phases.

Qualifications & SkillsEducational Background

Bachelor's degree in

Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

, or a related discipline.

Experience

2-4 years

of hands-on experience as a BIM Engineer (MEP). Proven experience working on

US/UK-based projects

is essential.

Software Proficiency

Strong expertise in

Autodesk Revit

and

Navisworks

. Working knowledge of

AutoCAD

,

BIM 360

, and

Dynamo

. Familiarity with design software such as

HAP

,

Trace 700

, or equivalent tools is a plus.

Standards & Codes

In-depth understanding of

MEP codes and standards

including

ASHRAE

,

IPC

,

UPC

, and

BS standards

.

Soft Skills

Excellent coordination, communication, and analytical problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced project environments
