Roles & Responsibilities:
You'll be responsible for design deliverables but not limited to the following:
1. Electrical floor plans.
2. Equipment schedules.
3. One-Line/Single-line Diagrams & Specification.
4. Equipment Installation details.
5. Prepare electronic drawings with accuracy neatness and efficiency using
industry Software.
6. Develop Building Electrical Power distribution options & Lighting design
options for various project types.
7. Participate in conceptual design efforts on projects.
8. Perform calculations for a project, such as load calculations, panel
schedules, short circuit and arc-flash, equipment and product selection,
and sizing, conduit and conductor sizing, and design layouts, etc. using
various software platforms
9. Reviewing and approval of shop drawings and submittals.
10. Client communication
Skills & Qualifications:
1. Knowledge of electrical design (in general USA, UK) to include types of
equipment utilized in the industry as well as general understanding of
systems designs, (power, grounding, lightning protection, fire alarm/life
safety systems, telecommunication/data systems, security systems and
instrumentation and control systems).
2. General understanding of other building trade disciples such as
mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, process and structural and how
they relate to electrical system design and construction.
3. General understanding of NFPA 70: National Electrical Code and Building
Codes.
4. Ability to read one line diagrams, P&ID's, equipment plans and plan
drawings for all disciplines.
Desired Profile for Candidates:
1. A Minimum of 2-6 years of design experience is required. Any additional
construction industry-specific experience is a plus good knowledge of
Revit MEP & Navisworks. Knowledge of other related software is an
added advantage.
2. Must have good communication skills.
3. Systems and software expertise in:
4. AutoCAD, Revit or similar design software applications
5. SKM, ETAP or other electrical modeling programs.
6. AGI, ELUM Tools, Visual, Dialux or other lighting modeling software.
7. Proficient knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office software programs
