Responsibilities:
Serve as a subject matter expert on one or more of the core departmental functions; use advanced
knowledge of business processes and systems to advise customer on the impacts of accounting
transactions and to solve complex problems
Handle day-to-day operations of the team, including escalations and workload distribution to ensure
service levels are met.
Provide guidance and training to junior members of the team.
Exercise discretion and sound independent judgment when applying knowledge of principles,
practices, and procedures to solve problems and understand/meet the needs of internal customers.
Investigate and solve complex problems; identify root causes of problems and suggest process
improvements.
Identify best practices and suggest improvement ideas to increase efficiency.
Deliver a superior level of prompt, knowledgeable, and professional service.
Effectively communicate with internal and external clients at all levels; develop relationships, build
rapport, and effectively interact with partners, vendors and internal customers.
Model use of business rules and procedures to ensure high quality results are delivered.
Execute and contribute to the firm's accounting strategy.
Qualification:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required, emphasis in accounting, finance, or a
business-related field preferred
Minimum of 3+ years related experience required; experience in accounting preferred,
experience in a professional services environment preferred.
Experience with Workday is mandatory.
Proven commitment to providing exceptional client service
Ability to effectively research and understand problems, think critically, and identify creative
solutions
Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to articulate complex issues.
Executes effectively in a high-volume environment by using resources efficiently, meeting
deadlines, and keeping others informed of work plans and progress towards goals while
maintaining quality standards
Ability to independently handle sensitive situations and exercise good business judgment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint)
