Job Summary

The Billing & Purchase Engineer is responsible for managing project billing, vendor procurement, material purchases, and cost control activities. The role ensures accurate billing, timely procurement, compliance with contracts, and coordination with site, finance, and vendors to support smooth project execution.

Key ResponsibilitiesBilling Responsibilities

Prepare and verify

client running bills (RA Bills / Final Bills)

as per BOQ, drawings, and contract terms Measure work executed at site and prepare

Measurement Sheets (MB)

Coordinate with site engineers for quantity verification and work progress Handle

billing certifications

, client approvals, and clarifications Maintain billing records, variations, extra items, and deductions Assist in

final bill preparation and project cost closure


Purchase & Procurement Responsibilities

Prepare

purchase requisitions

based on site requirements and project schedules Identify and evaluate

vendors and suppliers

Obtain and compare

quotations

, negotiate prices, and finalize purchase orders Issue

Purchase Orders (POs)

and track deliveries as per timelines Ensure material quality, quantity, and compliance with specifications Coordinate with store/site team for

material receipt and inventory control


Cost & Documentation Control

Monitor

material consumption vs BOQ

Control project costs and highlight variances Maintain procurement and billing documentation Coordinate with accounts for

invoice verification and payments

Ensure compliance with company policies and contractual terms
Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of

billing, BOQ, estimation, and procurement

Proficiency in

MS Excel

, ERP software (SAP / Tally / similar) Good understanding of

construction materials and rates

Negotiation and vendor management skills Strong analytical and documentation skills Effective communication and coordination abilities
Qualifications

BE / B.Tech / Diploma

in Civil Engineering (or relevant discipline)
Experience

2-6 years

of experience in billing and purchase/procurement Experience in

construction / infrastructure / real estate projects

preferred
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ?25,000.00 - ?30,000.00 per month
