The Planning and Billing Engineer will be responsible for managing project schedules, ensuring the
timely completion of all tasks, and overseeing the billing process in accordance with contract
specifications and legal requirements. This role requires a deep understanding of project planning,
resource management, cost estimation & projection. He will be involved in coordinating between
various departments, clients, and contractors.
Major Responsibilities
1. Planning and Scheduling:
o Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including defining project scopes,
setting deadlines, and allocating resources effectively.
o Monitor and track project progress, adjusting plans as necessary to ensure timely
completion.
o Ensure that all work activities are planned according to requirements and quality
standards.
o Prepare and update detailed project reports on schedule performance, risks, and
other critical factors.
2. Billing and Cost Control:
o Prepare, review, and process project invoices in accordance with contractual terms
and conditions.
o Ensure that all billing milestones are met based on the project schedule and
deliverables.
o Track project expenses and ensure that all financial transactions align with the budget.
o Coordinate with procurement, accounting, and finance departments for the accurate
and timely submission of billing documents.
o Resolve any billing discrepancies and disputes promptly.
3. Documentation and Reporting:
o Maintain proper documentation for all project planning and billing activities.
o Create regular status reports and dashboards that provide insights into project
progress, billing status, and compliance.
4. Collaboration and Stakeholder Communication:
o Act as a liaison between project stakeholders, including clients, contractors,
engineers, and vendors.
o Provide technical support to teams working on testing, calibration, and other
engineering aspects of the project.
o Address any queries or concerns raised by clients or internal teams, ensuring effective
communication and problem resolution.
5. Risk Management:
o Proactively identify and assess risks related to project planning & billing standards.
o Suggest alternates to minimize potential risks and prevent issues related to project
delays or cost overruns.
6. Continuous Improvement:
o Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes, systems, and procedures for
project planning, billing and compliance.
o Implement lessons learned from previous projects to enhance future project
execution.
Educational Qualification & Work Experience
Education:
o Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
Experience:
o Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in project planning, billing or related roles within
industries such as construction or manufacturing.
o Familiarity with scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and ERP or billing
software.
o Experience in managing projects requiring NABL accreditation is desirable.
Skills:
o Strong understanding of project planning, scheduling, and billing.
o Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and project management
tools.
o Analytical and problem-solving abilities, especially in relation to project scheduling
and billing processes.
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
o Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
o Attention to detail, especially when it comes to billing accuracy and compliance.
Knowledge of Standards:
o Knowledge of international standards (ISO/IEC) related to testing and calibration.
Job Type: Permanent
Pay: ?40,000.00 - ?70,000.00 per month
