Education

:

Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or a related engineering field. Diploma is also fine.

Experience:

3-5 years

of experience in a planning, billing, or similar role on a construction site.

Skills:

Technical:

Proficiency in project management software like Primavera or MS Project. Experience with billing and ERP software such as SAP or Tally. Strong skills in MS Excel and MS Word. Familiarity with AutoCAD and 3D modeling software can be beneficial.

Analytical and financial:

Strong analytical skills to evaluate costs and quantities. In-depth knowledge of construction costing, rate analysis, and Bills of Quantities (BoQ). Ability to prepare measurement sheets and bills with item rates from tender documents.

Project management

: Understanding of project scheduling and management principles. Ability to monitor and track construction activities on site.

Soft skills

: Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work with clients, contractors, and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

Planning:

Develop and maintain project schedules and work plans. Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely project delivery.

Billing:

Prepare measurement sheets based on site data and drawings. Create and process contractor and subcontractor bills. Verify on-site measurements and quantities. Get bills certified by the client. Prepare rate analyses for extra or non-tender items.

Financial and administrative:

Manage financial tracking and prepare financial projections. Process vendor and contractor payments. Conduct data entry and analysis in company software (like SAP). Reconcile material and project costs.
