Job Summary:


The

Billing & MIS Manager

is responsible for managing the end-to-end billing process, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, and maintaining robust Management Information Systems (MIS) to support strategic and operational decision-making in the transportation business. The role involves coordinating with operations, finance, and client teams to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and deliver insightful reports.

Key Responsibilities:



Billing & Invoicing:



Collect trip sheets, attendance, KM logs, and other billing inputs from operations team every day. Verify data accuracy before preparing invoices. Prepare customer-wise monthly invoices in the prescribed format. Ensure all supporting documents (trip sheets, challans, vendor forms, PO numbers) are attached. Submit invoices to customers on time through email/portal/physical submission. Maintain tracker for all invoices submitted with date, value, due date, and acknowledgements. Generate accurate customer invoices based on transportation services and contractual terms. Coordinate with operations to verify service completion before billing. Resolve billing discrepancies and respond to client queries promptly. Ensure compliance with internal policies and statutory regulations (GST, taxes).

MIS & Reporting:



Develop and maintain MIS dashboards and reports for management, operations, and finance. Analyze data to monitor revenue, operational efficiency, and cost variances. Support month-end and year-end reporting processes. Ensure data accuracy and integrity across systems.

Process & Team Management:



Supervise and guide the billing and MIS team. Implement process improvements to reduce errors and improve turnaround time. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to optimize workflows and reporting systems.

Required Qualifications & Skills:



Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. 5+ years of experience in billing, MIS, or finance, preferably in transportation/logistics. Strong analytical, numerical, and reporting skills. Proficient in MS Excel, ERP systems, and reporting tools. Excellent communication and team management abilities.

Preferred:



Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) or logistics ERP. Knowledge of GST and other statutory compliance requirements in transportation. Male candidates (Immediate Joiner).
