The Billing Executive is responsible for generating accurate bills for customer purchases, managing point-of-sale (POS) systems, handling cash and digital payments, and ensuring smooth billing operations in an FMCG store. The role requires attention to detail, strong customer service, and the ability to handle high-volume transactions efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Generate accurate invoices for customer purchases using POS systems.
Handle cash, credit/debit card, UPI, and other payment methods.
Ensure timely billing and minimize customer wait time.
Verify product prices, discounts, and offers before billing.
Maintain billing records and submit daily sales reports to the accounts team.
Coordinate with inventory and sales staff to resolve billing discrepancies.
Assist in stock reconciliation and barcode scanning where necessary.
Handle customer queries or complaints related to billing.
Comply with company policies, procedures, and hygiene standards.
Requirements:
Education:
Graduation, B.Com preferred
Experience:
1-3 years in a similar role, preferably in FMCG or retail billing.
Skills:
Proficiency with billing in given software.
Good numerical and data entry skills.
Basic knowledge of GST and retail pricing.
Customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and handle long hours during peak times.
