Job Description

A billing job involves creating and sending customer invoices, tracking payments, managing accounts receivable, resolving billing discrepancies, and communicating with clients about their accounts and outstanding debts. Key responsibilities include ensuring invoice accuracy, updating financial records, assisting with financial reporting, maintaining client accounts, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Common requirements are strong attention to detail, excellent communication and organizational skills, and proficiency with accounting software and MS Excel. Key Responsibilities

Invoice Creation & Management:

Prepare and issue accurate and timely invoices, bills, and receipts to customers.

Payment Tracking:

Monitor and manage incoming payments, update account records, and maintain an organized report of billing activities.

Customer Communication:

Respond to customer inquiries, resolve billing issues, and send reminders about upcoming or missed payment deadlines.

Account Management:

Maintain accurate client accounts by updating personal information and financial data.

Discrepancy Resolution:

Identify and resolve billing inconsistencies, errors, and other issues by coordinating with customers and internal teams.

Financial Reporting:

Assist with the creation of financial reports for management.

Compliance:

Ensure that all billing practices comply with company policies and relevant financial procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications

Organizational Skills:

Strong ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain meticulous records.

Communication Skills:

Excellent written and verbal communication to effectively interact with clients and internal teams.

Attention to Detail:

Crucial for ensuring the accuracy of invoices and financial records.

Technical Proficiency:

Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting/enterprise resource planning (ERP) software like SAP or JDE.

Problem-Solving:

Ability to identify and resolve issues related to billing and payments.

Interpersonal Skills:

Strong customer service skills to build positive relationships and resolve disputes effectively.
